Diagnostic Instructions

Circuit/System Description

The radio generates the audible warning through the left front speaker. The radio receives audible warning requests via GMLAN serial data from the body control module (BCM).

Circuit/System Testing

1. Ignition OFF, key in the ignition, open the driver door. The courtesy lamps should illuminate.

• If the courtesy lamps do not illuminate, Refer to Courtesy Lamps Inoperative. Courtesy Lamps Inoperative

2. Ignition ON, radio ON, adjust the radio balance and fade to the left front speaker.

• If the speaker does not operate properly, Refer to Speakers Inoperative - One or More (With Amplifier) Speakers Inoperative - One or More (Without Amplifier). Speakers Inoperative - One or More (With Amplifier) Speakers Inoperative - One or More (Without Amplifier)

3. If the speaker operates properly, replace the BCM.
