Generator Battery Control Module Replacement (5.3L Engine w/RPO HP2)

Removal Procedure




1. Disconnect the battery service disconnect/connect.
2. Remove the battery cover.
3. Remove the control module nuts.
4. Lift the control module up off of the studs.
5. Disconnect the control module electrical connectors.
6. Remove the control module.

Installation Procedure




1. Connect the control module electrical connectors.
2. Install the control module.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

3. Install the control module nuts.

Tighten the nuts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

4. Install the battery cover.
5. Program the energy storage control module. Refer to Control Module References for programming and setup information. Programming and Relearning
