Folding Top Control Module Replacement

Removal Procedure





Caution: Refer to Servicing Electrical Components Caution (Servicing Electrical Components Warning) .
1. Place the folding top with the #1 bow and #5 bow in the up position.
2. Open the rear compartment.
3. Disconnect the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (6.0L) (Service and Repair)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (7.0L) (Service and Repair) .
4. Remove the rear compartment side carpet. Refer to Rear Compartment Rear Center Trim Panel Carpet Replacement (Service and Repair) .




5. Disconnect the electrical connectors (1) from the folding top control module (2).
6. Remove the control module by lifting up to release the hook and loop fastener.



Installation Procedure





1. Connect the electrical connectors (1) to the folding top control module (2).
2. Install the rear compartment carpet. Refer to Rear Compartment Rear Center Trim Panel Carpet Replacement (Service and Repair) .
3. Connect the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (6.0L) (Service and Repair)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (7.0L) (Service and Repair) .
4. Close the rear compartment.
5. Inspect the folding top for proper operation. Refer to Power Folding Top Description and Operation (Power Folding Top Description and Operation) .
