Engine Block Valley Cover Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement Intake Manifold Replacement.

2. Remove the oil pressure sensor. Refer to Engine Oil Pressure Sensor and/or Switch Replacement Service and Repair.





3. Remove the valley cover to cylinder block retaining bolts (1).

4. Remove the valley cover (2).

Important:
The valley cover gasket (3) is a single use only component and must be replaced whenever the valley cover gasket (3) is removed from the engine.


5. Remove the valley cover gasket (3).

Discard the valley cover gasket (3).

Installation Procedure

1. Install the valley cover. Refer to Engine Block Valley Cover Installation 86. Engine Block Valley Cover Installation.

2. Install the oil pressure sensor. Refer to Engine Oil Pressure Sensor and/or Switch Replacement Service and Repair.

3. Install the intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement Intake Manifold Replacement.
