Auxiliary Battery Tray Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect the primary negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Primary) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Primary)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Auxiliary) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Auxiliary).

2. Remove the rear compartment side trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Side Trim Panel Replacement Rear Compartment Side Trim Panel Replacement.

3. Remove the auxiliary battery. Refer to Auxiliary Battery Replacement Auxiliary Battery Replacement.




4. Remove the fuse block bracket bolts (1).




5. Remove the auxiliary battery mounting bolts (1).




6. Slide out the auxiliary battery tray and remove the vent tube retainer (1).

Installation Procedure




1. Connect the battery vent tube retainer (1) to the auxiliary battery tray extension panel.





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

2. Install the auxiliary battery tray mounting bolts (1) and tighten to 20 Nm (15 lb ft)..




3. Install the fuse block retaining bolts and tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb in).

4. Install the auxiliary battery. Refer to Auxiliary Battery Replacement Auxiliary Battery Replacement.

5. Install the rear compartment side trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Side Trim Panel Replacement Rear Compartment Side Trim Panel Replacement.

6. Connect the primary negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Primary) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Primary)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Auxiliary) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Auxiliary).
