Electronic Brake Control Module: Service Precautions

CAUTION: The external features of the Teves Mark IV-G ABS Controller Antilock Brakes CAB and the Mark IV-G ABS With Traction Control CAB are the same. The CABs though are functionally different. If the wrong CAB is installed on the wrong brake system, the system will be disabled and a fault code will be stored.

CAUTION: Verify that the vehicle ignition is off before removing the HCU from the vehicle.

CAUTION: Heat shield MUST be installed when servicing of HCU is completed. Failure to install heat shield could result in a failure of the CAB due to high temperature.
