PURPOSE
On six cylinder engines the coolant switch is located on the front of the cylinder head. Fig. 5A It operates the same as for the four cylinder engine. In addition, when the engine temperature reaches 150 degrees F., the computer will switch the air pump injection from upstream to downstream into the exhaust system and will allow the charcoal canister to purge.
