1. Switch lights and all accessories off, then place transmission shift lever into Neutral position and set parking brake.
2. On models equipped with power steering, place tires and steering wheel in the straight ahead position to remove load from pump.
3. On all models, start engine and run until normal operating temperature is reached.
4. Ensure curb idle speed is within specifications, adjusting as necessary.
5. Loosen locknuts ``1'' and ``2,'' Fig. 2, then adjust length of actuator rod to provide .04 inch clearance between rod and accelerator lever and retighten locknuts.
6. Cycle A/C switch on and off several times, then set in the Off position and ensure actuator rod and accelerator lever are not in contact with each other.
7. Loosen idle-up adjusting screw locknut, then adjust engine speed to 850-900 RPM with adjusting screw and retighten locknut.
8. Cycle A/C switch on and off several times and ensure actuator rod moves correspondingly.
