Alarm Module: Service and Repair

Module Locations:

REMOTE ENTRY RECEIVER REPLACEMENT
1. Remove left knee panel.
2. Remove nuts attaching module and module.
3. Lower module and disconnect wire connector.
4. To install, reverse above procedures.

VEHICLE THEFT SECURITY SYSTEM MODULE REPLACEMENT
If the Vehicle Theft Security System module is being removed and no replacement module is being installed, the module wiring must be disconnected while the engine is running. Failure to do so will cause a no-start condition.

1. Remove left knee panel.
2. Remove remote entry receiver module attaching nuts and module.
3. Lower module, to disconnect wire connectors.
4. Remove two screws attaching the security module. Remove heater duct as necessary. The attaching screws are on the back side of module and have to be accessed from the engine compartment.
5. Lower module, to disconnect wire connector.
