Description


The wide open throttle (WOT) vacuum switch (cold) closes when the engine is cold and a wide open throttle condition exists (manifold vacuum at 5 inches Hg ). This results in the mixture control (MC) solenoid to provide the rich air/fuel mixture necessary for the increased air flow during cold engine operation.

The wide open throttle (WOT) vacuum switch (warm) opens when the engine is warm and a wide open throttle condition exists (manifold vacuum at 3 inches Hg). This results in the mixture control (MC) solenoid to be regulated to provide the rich air/fuel mixture necessary from increased air flow during warm engine wide open throttle condition.
