Knock Sensor: Service and Repair
Knock Sensor:
REMOVAL 1.
Disconnect electrical connector from
Knock Sensor.
2.
Using a crowfoot or deep socket remove
Knock Sensor from engine block.
INSTALLATION 1.
Install
Knock Sensor and torque to 89 lb.in. (10 N-m).
CAUTION: Installation torque is critical to
knock sensor operation. Make sure that sensor is torqued correctly.
2.
Install electrical connector to
Knock Sensor.
