Power Steering Pressure Switch: Testing and Inspection

1. Disconnect power steering oil pressure switch connector.
2. Start engine, then, using a suitable ohmmeter, check continuity between pressure switch terminal and body ground when steering wheel is operated.
3. With steering wheel in a straight ahead position, ohmmeter should indicate infinity.
4. With steering wheel turned, ohmmeter should indicate 33 ohms or less resistance.
5. If ohmmeter is not as specified, check for defective oil pump assembly.
