Fluid Level Check

With vehicle on level surface, start engine and operate at idle speed. With parking brake applied, move shift lever through each gear, then place selector lever in N. Remove dipstick and check fluid level. Transmission should be at operating temperature when checking fluid level (160-180°F). Fluid level should be within the Hot range on dipstick. If necessary, add Dexron II automatic transmission fluid to bring fluid level within the Hot range.
