Clearing Fault Codes

After a repair is made, it is important to erase all fault codes. If you do not erase the fault codes manually, they will be erased automatically after 60 ignition cycles. During that time an "Er" message will continue to be displayed.

To erase fault codes:
1. Enter the mode in which the fault was found. This will be either LO mode or M1 mode.
2. Press and hold the front defrost switch for 5 seconds. During this time the mode indicator will flash to show that the fault code is being cleared.
3. After 5 seconds, release the front defrost switch. If the fault has been corrected and cleared, the flashing mode indicator will go out and the heat-a/c system will return to the OFF position.
