1. Remove approximately 1/3 of brake fluid from master cylinder.
2. Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel assembly.
3. Loosen parking brake cable at lever underneath console, then disconnect cable from caliper.

4. Remove lower caliper lock pin, then pivot caliper up and support with wire to prevent damage to brake hose.
5. Remove brake pads, shims and pad clips.

6. Using piston driver MB990652 or equivalent, thread caliper piston into bore and ensure that piston stopper grooves are aligned as shown, so that they will interlock with projections on pad assembly.
7. Install brake pads, shims and pad clips, then lower caliper and install lock pin.
8. Depress brake pedal several times to seat pads, then check and replenish brake fluid as necessary.
9. Connect parking brake cable, then install wheel and tire assembly and lower vehicle.
10. Adjust parking brake cable, refer to Brakes and Traction Control/Brakes/Parking Brake System/Parking Brake Cable/Adjustments.
