DISCUSSION:

Several products are now being marketed that claim to be a substitute for R-12 (Freon). Chrysler has not approved any substitute or alternative refrigerant for use in an A/C system that requires R-12 refrigerant. Use of any refrigerant other than R-12 can cause damage to a vehicle's A/C system and recycling/recharging equipment.
