Wiper Gear Box: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then remove wiper arm and blade assemblies from pivots.
2. On Conquest models, remove pivot locknut shield caps, then the pivot locknuts.
3. On models except Conquest, remove front deck garnishes, then the pivot lock and attaching nuts.
4. On all models, remove wiper motor, refer to WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR.
5. Remove wiper transmission assembly.
6. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Mount wiper arms so that when motor is in park position distance between wiper blade and bottom of windshield is 0.6 inch on left side and 0.8 inch on right side for Colt Wagon, 1.2 inch on left side and 1 inch on right side for Colt Vista, 0.5 inch on both sides for Conquest.
