Air Conditioning Switch: Testing and Inspection

A/C Switch Electrical Terminals:

1. Remove the A/C Switch for testing.
Refer to COMPONENT REPLACEMENT AND REPAIR PROCEDURES.

2. With the switch in the ECONOMY position (depressed 1 step), check for continuity between each set of terminals. # 1 and # 4, # 4 and # 5, and # 3 and # 6.

3. Depress the A/C switch to the second step, and check for continuity between each set of terminals. # 1 and # 2, # 1 and # 4, # 2 and # 4, # 4 and # 5, and # 3 and # 6.

4. If the switch test results deviate from above, replace the switch.
