Air Conditioning Switch: Description and Operation

When the air-conditioner switch is turned ON, and the engine is at idle, the Control Unit increases the idle speed through the Idle Speed Control Servo. This maintains the idle speed while compensating for the extra load on the engine. To prevent the compressor from switching ON before the idle speed can be increased, the Control Unit will briefly open the A/C relay circuit.
