Camshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

Camshaft Timing Sensor:

1. Disconnect the camshaft position sensor pick-up lead at wiring harness connector.
2. Remove the camshaft position sensor retaining bolt.
3. Grasp the sensor and pull it out of it's bore.
4. Install the sensor with the tab facing the rear of the engine.
5. Install and tighten the retaining bolt to 105 lbs. in. (12 N-m).
6. Connect the camshaft position sensor lead wire into the wiring harness connector.
