Air Temperature Sensor ( Ambient / Intake ): Description and Operation

Intake Air Temperature Sensor Circuit:

PURPOSE
The Intake Air Temperature Sensor is a thermistor which measures intake air temperature as a resistance value. The resistance of the sensor increases as temperature decreases. The ECU modifies fuel injection duration according to the intake air temperature signal.

LOCATION
The intake air temperature sensor is located on the Air Flow Sensor (AFS).
