Air Temperature Sensor ( Ambient / Intake ): Testing and Inspection

1. Disconnect the Air-flow Sensor connector.

Testing The Intake Air Temperature Sensor:

2. Measure the resistance using an ohmmeter connected to terminals # 4 and # 6.
Refer to SPECIFICATIONS/ELECTRICAL.

Using a Hair Dryer:

3. While heating the temperature sensor with a hair dryer, measure the resistance.
As the temperature increases, the resistance should decrease. Refer to SPECIFICATIONS/ELECTRICAL.
