Clutch Assembly Replacement

1. Remove transmission or transaxle, refer to TRANSAXLE.
2. With suitable clutch disc guide inserted in center hole to prevent clutch disc from dropping, evenly loosen bolts holding clutch cover assembly in a crossing pattern, then remove clutch cover assembly.
3. Remove clutch disc.
4. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Clean surface of flywheel thoroughly with fine sandpaper or crocus cloth and ensure that all oil or grease has been removed.
b. Apply a small amount of multi-purpose grease to clutch disc and input shaft splines and groove of release bearing.
c. Torque clutch cover bolts to specifications.
