Wiper Gear Box: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then remove wiper arm and blade assemblies from pivots.
2. Remove front deck garnishes, then the pivot lock and attaching nuts.
3. On all models, remove wiper motor, refer to WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR.
4. Remove wiper transmission assembly.
5. Reverse procedure to install, mounting wiper arms so that when motor is in park position distance between wiper blade and bottom of windshield is as follows:
a. 1.2 inch on left side and 1 inch on right side for 1991 Colt Vista.
b. 1.18 inch on left side and 1.37 inch on right side for 1992-94 Colt Vista & Summit Wagon.
