NEGATIVE (-) BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION

Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery and tape the terminal.

Caution: Wait at least 60 seconds after disconnecting the battery cable before doing any further work.





SRS DIAGNOSIS UNIT CONNECTOR DISCONNECTION

1. Apply a flat tip screwdriver to the lock spring (metallic portion) of the SDU connector lock lever as illustrated and push it horizontally toward the back of the unit.

Cautions

1. Do not push up the lock lever (green) by force.

2. Never insert a screwdriver between the lock lever (green) and the lock spring (metallic portion).

2. Remove all of the connectors from the SDU, while pressing down on their locks.

Caution: The SDU connectors have a double lock mechanism. Their forced removal could cause damage to the connectors.
