Ignition Switch: Service and Repair

NOTE: Ignition switch may be replaced without removing steering lock.

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove knee protector, then upper and lower column covers.
3. Remove band securing electrical connector, then disconnect electrical connector.
4. With automatic transaxle, remove interlock cable cover, then disconnect interlock cable, spring and slide lever.
5. Remove screws attaching ignition switch to ignition lock, then switch from lock assembly.
6. Reverse procedure to install.
