Adjustment

FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT

NOTE: On vehicles with aluminum wheels, attach camber/caster to driveshaft using tool No. MB991004, or equivalent.

CASTER
Caster is preset during production and is not adjustable. If caster is out of specifications, replace bent, worn or otherwise damaged parts.

CAMBER
Specified camber is built into steering knuckle, which is part of strut assembly. No adjustment is possible.

TOE-IN
Remove outer bellows clamp from tie rod before adjusting toe. After completing adjustment, reinstall clamp. Amount of toe-in of left front wheel is reduced by turning tie rod turnbuckle toward front of car and amount of toe-in on right front wheel is reduced by turning it toward rear of car. After adjustment, difference in length between two tie rods should not exceed 0.2 inch (5 mm).
