Spark plug boots may be damaged during the removal of spark plug wires if improper tools or techniques are used.

Use tool T74P-6666-A and the techniques shown in "1982 Car Shop Manual", Volume E, Page 23-05-6 when servicing spark plug wires.

Attention is directed to "Spark Plug Boot Replacement" on Page 23-05-6 of Volume E. Should a boot be damaged, replace the boot 1124251 and not the entire wire.
