Test 11, Distributor Stator Assembly

Distributor Connector:

Procedure
1. Disconnect distributor electrical connector. Inspect connectors for dirt and corrosion.
2. Using a suitable ohmmeter, measure resistance across black/orange stripe wire and black/purple stripe wire in distributor connector, Fig. 1.

NOTE: The distributor stator assembly wire connector wire colors cannot be seen without removal of connector holddown plate or distributor cap.

3. If readings obtained are within 650-1300 ohms circuit is satisfactory. If readings are less than 650 or more than 1300 ohms replace stator assembly.
