Page 47 of the 1983 Electronic Engine Controls Training book (0901-046) shows the equipment hook-up for the self-test codes. Figure 11 shows an early configuration which will not work on production vehicles. The correct hook-up is illustrated in Figure 11 and on pages 20-11 and 70-11 of the 1983 Car/Truck Shop Manual Emission Diagnosis - Engine/Electronics (FPS-365- 126-326-83HL).
