Feedback Control Solenoid: Description and Operation

The vacuum regulator/solenoid assembly is used to control vacuum and idle air bleed to the 6149 feedback carburetor on 4-140 high swirl combustion engines. Fig. 14. During engine operation, the manifold vacuum signal is reduced to a variable vacuum output signal that controls the carburetor main system. The output controls are varied in response to the electrical signal from the EEC-IV system module.
