Pistons are available in standard size and oversize of .020 in. Install piston with an ``F'' mark, Fig. 23, on piston toward front of engine. Connecting rods have alignment marks stamped on one side of main bearing bore boss, Fig. 24. After piston and connecting rod assemblies have been installed, check side clearance between connecting rods on each crankshaft journal. Clearance should be .0043---.0103 inch.
