Fig. 10 Disconnecting cables from control assembly:





1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove instrument cluster housing cover attaching screws, then the cover.
3. Remove control assembly to instrument panel retaining screws, pull control assembly outward, then disconnect electrical connectors.
4. Using suitable pliers, compress function control cable end retainer, then pull cable in direction shown, Fig. 10, until cable flag can be disconnected from control assembly.
5. Disconnect temperature control cable in same manner as outlined above, then remove control assembly from vehicle.
6. Reverse procedure to install.
