ISSUE: The Functional Check procedure for Air Supply Control Valves shown on page 3-13 of the 1986 Engine Emissions Diagnosis Shop Manual has been revised. Due to a modification of the air management system by the addition of a vacuum retard delay valve, an Engine Running Code 45 may be displayed during Self-Test.

ACTION: Refer to the pages following this TSB article for the revised procedure.
