Anti-Backfire Gulp Valve
The anti-backfire valve is located downstream from the
air bypass valve, and its purpose Is to divert a portion of the thermactor air to the intake manifold when it is triggered by intake manifold vacuum signal on decel, that is, only during periods of sudden decrease in intake manifold pressure.
