The 1986 Electrical and Vacuum Troubleshooting Manual (EVTM) refers to high and low series vehicles in the lamp out diagnostic warning system, pages 113- 117. To properly identify the correct series, the Taurus/ Sable Shop Manual (34-20-11) must be used (refer to Figure 4). The correct series information is critical when ordering a 14405 wiring harness.

NOTE: Low series vehicles use a single tail lamp bulb.
