Reference: Safety Recall 89S73, dated November 1989 - 1985-1987 Escort and Lynx Cars (Except Escort EXP) for Driver's Seat Track Modifications


The purpose of this supplemental bulletin is to advise you that Recall 89S73 is being expanded to include a small number of 1988 Escort vehicles built from Job # 1 thru 8/20/87 at the Wayne Assembly Plant and from Job # 1 thru 8/25/87 at the Edison Assembly Plant. lhe 1988-MY vehicles being added to the recall may have been produced with seat tracks of the same design level as the 1985-1987 vehicles. Therefore, dealers are instructed to inspect the seat track for design level and to release or correct the vehicle as necessary.
