Upper Intake Manifold

4-140 Turbocharged Engine

1. Perform steps 1 through 8 under ``Fuel Charging Assembly, Replace'' procedure.
2. Disconnect EGR hose from EGR valve.
3. On 1983 - 84 models, disconnect fuel supply and return lines using tool No. T82L-9500-AH or equivalent.
4. On 1985 - 88 models, remove oil dipstick/fuel injector pulse dampener mounting bracket.
5. On all models, remove six upper intake manifold attaching bolts, then the manifold assembly.
6. Reverse procedure to install. Torque manifold attaching bolts to 15 - 22 ft. lbs.
