Intake Manifold: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cables, then remove support braces from A/C compressor bracket, inlet fitting and intake manifold.
2. Remove A/C compressor from mounting bracket and position compressor aside. Do not disconnect lines from compressor.
3. Remove inlet fitting from manifold, then disconnect oil feed line from cylinder head and turbocharger center housing and remove feed line clamp bolt.
4. Loosen turbocharger heat shield attaching bolts, then remove top bolt and swing shield aside.
5. Remove wastegate actuator from turbocharger and mounting bracket, then position mounting bracket aside.
6. Remove manifold attaching nuts and bolts, then the intake manifold.
7. Reverse procedure to install.
