ISSUE: The Taurus/Sable Shop Manual Section 44-10-2 and the Escort/Lynx Shop Manual Section 44-10-5 contain a sentence that could be confusing. It reads "The wagon liftgate latch has double-bolt construction designed to be equivalent in function and load capacity to side door latches".


ACTION: A better description would be "The wagon liftgate latch has a double-bolt construction with both a primary and secondary position. It is important that any adjustment be checked to assure that the latch will secure in both the primary and secondary position after adjustment".
