Front Cover Seal - Installation

1. Coat new seal with long life lubricant (XG-1-C) (ESA-M1C75-B) or equivalent.

2. Using Pinion Seal Replacer (T83T-4676-A), install the seal into cover.

a. Drive the seal until it is fully seated.

b. Check seal to ensure it is positioned properly.

3. Install damper.

4. Install damper bolt.

5. Lower vehicle.

6. Raise engine assembly.

7. Raise vehicle.

8. Install retaining bolts to stabilizer bar brackets.

9. Lower vehicle.

10. Install idler pulley bracket.

11. Install idler pulley.

12. Install engine mounts.

13. Install belt tensioner.


14. Remove engine support bar.

15. Install fuel line shield.

16. Install drive belt.

17. Connect battery ground cable.

18. Close hood.
