Fig. 43 Compressor removal:







1. Discharge refrigerant from system.
2. Disconnect compressor clutch wires at field coil connector on compressor.
3. Remove discharge line from manifold and tube assembly.
4. Remove suction line from suction manifold.
5. Loosen two idler attaching screws and release compressor belt tension.
6. Raise vehicle and remove four bolts attaching compressor to bracket, Fig. 43.
7. Remove two screws attaching heater water return tube to underside of engine supports.
8. Remove compressor from underside of vehicle.
9. Reverse procedure to install.
