WARNING: This modification is authorized only for the listed engines. Performing this modification on other engine calibrations is unauthorized and could create liability under applicable federal or local laws.

ISSUE: Loss of power and/or poor performance during wide open throttle (WOT) at engine speeds of 3500 RPM or more may be caused by the EEC IV processor. The EEC IV system is very sensitive to signal (electronic) noise which may allow the EEC IV processor to receive false input causing the engine spark to retard. Self-test code "11" will be displayed during diagnosis indicating the system is okay.


ACTION: To correct this, install anew, improved EEC IV processor (E7ZZ- 12A650-AC) which is not as sensitive to electronic signal noise.
