ISSUE: Test Step QA5 on page 17-331 of the 1989 Engine Emission Diagnosis Manual is incorrect. Step QA5 indicates "Is resistance less than 10,000 ohms?". The correct reading should be: "Is resistance less than 5 ohms?".

ACTION: Refer to the pages following this TSB article for the revised Test Step information.
