Cruise Control Switch: Service and Repair

1. Remove center horn pad by inserting a punch through holes in back of steering wheel. Disconnect horn switch electrical connectors.
2. Remove and discard steering wheel attaching bolt.
3. Using a puller, separate steering wheel from shaft.
4. Remove six screws retaining back cover to steering wheel.
5. Separate back cover from steering wheel, then disconnect control switch electrical connector.
6. Remove control switch as shown Fig. 28.
7. Reverse procedure to install. Torque new steering wheel attaching bolt to 23-33 ft. lbs.
