Compressor

1. Working from above vehicle, disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Discharge refrigerant from system.
3. Disconnect compressor clutch wire at field coil connector on compressor.
4. Remove top two compressor mounting bolts.
5. Raise and support vehicle. Working from underneath vehicle, loosen and remove compressor drive belt.
7. Disconnect A/C system hose from condenser and accumulator/dryer. Cap lines to prevent contamination.
8. Remove two compressor bottom mounting bolts. Support compressor while removing bolts.
9. Remove compressor, manifold and tube assemblies from vehicle as a unit. Compressor can be removed from beneath the vehicle. Ensure that unit does not scrape against condenser.
10. Remove manifold and tube assemblies from compressor.
11. Reverse procedure to install.
