1. Move Temperature control lever to Cool position. Using control cable removal tool T83P-18532-AH, Fig. 14, disconnect temperature control cable housing and retainer from the A/C case bracket, then disconnect cable from temperature door crank arm, Fig. 16.
2. Insert a suitable tool into 35 millimeter holes in bezel. Apply a minimal inboard force to each side of the control, then pull control assembly from register.
3. Position temperature control lever to Cool. Using control cable removal tool T83P-18532-AH, disconnect the temperature cable housing from control mounting bracket.
4. Remove twist off cap from cable, then the cable and cable wire from the control lever.
5. Remove electrical connectors, two vacuum harness-to-control assembly spring nuts, then the vacuum harness and control assembly.
6. Reverse procedure to install.
