Feedback Control Solenoid: Testing and Inspection

Feedback Carburetor Actuator Motor:

1. Remove the Feedback Carburetor Actuator (FBCA) motor from carburetor. Connect wiring harness to FBCA motor; turn ignition switch to RUN to extend shaft. Turn ignition switch to OFF. If FBCA shaft does not extend, replace FBCA motor and retest.
2. Push FBCA motor shaft back in by hand. If shaft will not push in, replace the FBCA motor and retest.
3. Remove and clean the pintle valve, spring and carburetor passage with choke cleaner and a small brush.
4. Reinstall pintle, spring a FBCA motor. Tighten the FBCA motor. Refer to SPECIFICATIONS/MECHANICAL.
5. Retest according to the appropriate Quick Test. Refer to COMPUTERIZED ENGINE CONTROLS.
6. Check/reset curb idle, if necessary. Refer to ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURES.
