Distributor Advance Unit: Service and Repair




1. Remove distributor cap, rotor and adapter, then disconnect diaphragm assembly vacuum hoses.
2. Remove E-clip securing diaphragm rod to stator assembly pin, then lift diaphragm rod off stator assembly pin.
3. Remove two diaphragm assembly retaining screws and identification tag.
4. Remove diaphragm assembly from distributor base.
5. Reverse procedure to install. Torque diaphragm assembly retaining screws and identification tag to 15 inch lbs. minimum.
