Air Injection Pump: Testing and Inspection
Thermactor Air Supply Pump:
Function Check1.
Check belt tension and adjust specification.

From bypass control valve, disconnect air supply hose.
3.
If airflow is felt at the pump outlet and the flow increases as the engine speed is increased, the pump is operating satisfactorily.
CAUTION While adjusting belt do not pry on pump. The aluminum housing is likely to collapse.
